Father's Day is a festival which started in the early 20th century to honour fathers. To join in the celebrations, Reeds Rains has been thinking about Dads and their sheds.
We carried out a survey to find out the common uses for these outdoor spaces and whether these are a popular dwelling place. The results show 64% of people surveyed have a shed/outbuilding, but 89% only use the extra space for storage as Dads tend to use shed/outbuildings as their space.*
The research also reveals that money conscious shed owners spend less than £50 a year maintaining their shed/outhouse with the odd bit of paint and a few plants to keep it looking fresh.*
