# Good Luck to Scott - fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Society

We’d like to wish good luck to Scott Copley, our Branch Manager in Wakefield who, throughout November, is running a minimum of 50 miles in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity very close to his heart.

Scott has already managed to raise £390 after running just over 25 miles to date, but, with a close family member having suffered from dementia, is keen to raise much more - understanding the support it can offer to those with the disease as well as those that support them.

Scott explained:

“Earlier this year my family lost my father-in-law to dementia and, after seeing the devastating effects that this horrendous disease can have on a person, and those close to them, I decided I needed to do something to help – and chose to take on this challenge.

I must admit it’s getting harder as the month progresses but I’m so determined to raise as much as I can before it ends, especially knowing the support the [Alzheimer’s Society](https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/) needs to deliver their much needed services.
