So you didn’t manage to get tickets to Glastonbury? Why not hold your own festival party instead…
The Guest List
Who are you going to invite? Put together your guest list, if you’re feeling creative you could even send out tickets or wristbands for a real festival experience. Think about whether you’re going to have a theme or fancy dress too.
Turn your garden into the perfect festival setting. Make sure you have an area for music, chilling out, food and drink bar and some tents for sleeping in. If you have a shed you could even turn this into a silent disco venue.
When it comes to decorating think bunting, fairy lights and places to sit. You could scatter around some blankets or cushions or if DIY is your thing you could create some furniture from old, unused wooden pallets.
The Food and Drink
Festivals are known for their tasty and filing food, people queue for hours to get their hands on some tasty treats from the food vans. When putting together your spread ensure sure you include festival favourites such as burgers and hot dogs.
The Music and Entertainment
Create your own music playlist or you could even watch the live Glastonbury coverage on TV. If you know a band or entertainer you could even get them to come along and play a few tunes.
