Six year old Ethan from Brampton Primary School has successfully won a competition by national estate agency Reeds Rains which means his work will be featured on hundreds of printed material used around the local area in the run up to Christmas.
Reeds Rains Chesterfield provided pupils with a blank Christmas card template and asked them to use this to create their own Christmas themed picture. Ethan received a £25 Smyths toy voucher and satisfaction that his Christmas card design will feature on promotional material used by Reeds Rains. Each of the runners up; Adem, Chloe Marshall, Iris, Melisha and Abbey from Brampton Primary School received a Christmas selection box.
The competition is part of the Reeds Rains drive to support the local community and create greater links with it.
Reeds Rains are displaying the designs in their branch at 42 Glumangate, Chesterfield S40 1TX and are inviting parents to come along and see the finished design for themselves.
Sue Furniss, branch manager for Reeds Rains Chesterfield comments: “Brampton Primary School is really committed to their pupils and they provide a range of activities for the children which demonstrate their creativity. We had an overwhelming response and the pupils really enjoyed the competition. All of the Christmas card designs look fabulous.”
Mr Parkinson head teacher for Brampton Primary School adds: “Christmas is a special time of the year for the pupils and it is lovely to work with Reeds Rains. It’s great that the competition has been available for the all the pupils and has really helped develop the children’s social skills and build a sense of community in the school.”
