Merseyside is one of 6 unitary authorities to set new house price peak according to the latest LSL House Price Index. Merseyside house prices were up 2.5% annually.
The average house price in the North West in June was £188,806. House prices across the whole region increased 1.8% annually.
All regions and 70% of unitary authorities recorded annual growth in July with the average house price in England and Wales now at £302,251. July also saw the smallest difference between the highest and lowest regional growth rates for 18 years.
