West Berkshire sets a new peak price with growth of 11.5%
West Berkshire in the South East set a new peak price in June, and with a growth of 11.5% has seen the highest annual increase of any area according to the LSL House Price Index.
This is in large part due to a £9 million sale near Newbury.
Overall, prices in the South East are up 0.5% annually with the average house price now set at £374,478.
All regions and 70% of unitary authorities recorded annual growth in July with the average house price in England and Wales now at £302,251. July also saw the smallest difference between the highest and lowest regional growth rates for 18 years.
