West Midlands is the top region for house price growth in July

The West Midlands conurbation saw prices up 4.7% in July vs June - among the strongest growth of any unitary authority area.
The LSL House Price Index also found that growth in the West Midlands was up 2.9% annually.
The East Midlands also saw growth, with prices in Leicestershire up 2.7% monthly and 3.7% annually. Both regions continue to report increases above inflation.
The average house price for the West Midlands in July was £221,553 while in the East Midlands the average price was £212,911.
