Winner of Reeds Rains prize draw announced
The winner of a recent Reeds Rains prize draw has been announced as Andy Rogers from Liverpool who, as a result, has won a month’s free rent.
Andy was picked at random from a list of more than 3,000 entrants who took part in a survey which was conducted by Reeds Rains, in conjunction with the Corporate Client Department (CCD) of its parent company, LSL Property Services plc (LSL). The survey - which is considered to be the largest of its kind in the UK - was designed to gain a better understanding of the UK’s Private Rented Sector (PRS) in 2017 and posed questions specifically to tenants. It revealed some interesting facts about why people rent, what is important to them as tenants and what their aspirations might be for the future.
Of significant interest was that generally tenants are happier with renting compared to those surveyed last year and that there was some clear factors that contributed to this - with the condition and cleanliness of a property, its value for money and its security being of major importance.
Andy commented: “Finding out I’d won the prize draw was a nice surprise as I’d not won anything before and the money saved on my rent will be really useful.
"I took part in the survey as I saw it as a great opportunity to put my points of view across as a tenant. I agree that there are a few things that can make the difference when renting, as highlighted in the survey, and for me having an understanding landlord is also vital - especially one who appreciates that it’s not just a property but a home for the tenant.
"Ultimately I think the survey will help everyone understand the rental market more which should be of benefit to everyone in it.”
David Bond, Head of PRS for LSL CCD added:
“We’re delighted that Andy won the prize draw. Building on the survey’s success last year we have, again, found out some very interesting facts about the market which will be invaluable in helping us to develop our products and services in support of our PRS customers. I’d like to thank Andy – and all those who took part in the survey – in helping us to produce such an in depth and valuable report and, in turn, help landlords to provide properties that tenants want.”
Tom Ryan from Reeds Rains in West Derby commented:
“We were delighted to hear this news. To be randomly picked from so many entrants is great news for Andy but also the local team who have supported him in finding a rental property – we’re very pleased for him.”
