We know Bramhall

The manor of Bramall dates from the Saxon period, when it was held as two separate estates by two Saxon freemen, Brun and Hacun. In 1070, William the Conqueror subdued the north-west of England, and divided the land among his followers. The manor of "Bramale" was given to Hamon de Massey, who eventually became the first Baron of Dunham Massey. The earliest reference to Bramall was recorded in the Domesday Book as "Bramale". Today, Bramhall is a thriving village, an affluent suburb of Greater Manchester on the outskirts of Stockport. A mainline rail link connects with Manchester and London making it perfect for commuters, in addition, there are excellent schools in the area, ideal for families. The area is also known for Bramall Park and its Tudor Hall, a magnificent period building. The village features a mixture of bars, restaurants and coffee shops along with butchers, bakers, hairdressers, clothes shops in addition to a small “express” supermarket set within the village square.
