Plas Kynaston is a Grade II listed building within the Cefn Mawr Conservation Area. It was the home of the Kynaston Family, whose individual activities led to the development of the foundary which became the ironworks for the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Since the Second World War, it has had a variety of uses including a school and library.
