Reeds Rains. Spinning for Charity

Its good luck to our team in Bridlington who are taking part in a 6 hour continuous spinning session on May 14th with the aim to cover a distance of 100K, whilst raising much needed funds for Cash for Kids – the grant giving charity which Reeds Rains is once again supporting.

Andy Vidler, Branch Manager at Reeds Rains in Bridlington, explains more:

“The team came up with the idea knowing that I’m addicted to spinning classes and that I could also supply a spin bike, on the day, which we can use. All of us are taking part but I think it will be mainly myself and colleagues Lara McGregor, Natalie Heseltine and Lydia Dade who will be doing the ‘lions share’ of the 6 hrs, although there will be a lot of encouragement from fellow team members Kaylee Walker and Jemma Goodacre.

Everyone within the office has children of their own so completing this event, and especially on Cash for Kids Day itself, which is their main fundraising event (and which we are also sponsoring), is really close to our hearts. And talking of hearts …

The event is particularly important to me as I have only just returned to work after suffering a heart attack back in mid-February so it’s not only helping us all raise much needed funds for Cash for Kids but also part of my rehab. So I am hoping there are benefits all round.

We hope to raise a lot of money in the run up to the event, as well as on the day, and appreciate any support in doing this, especially as we know that funds will directly benefit disadvantaged children in our region. It’s such a worthwhile cause”

We wish the team the best of luck and, if you are in Bridlington on May 14th between 10a.m. and 4 p.m., why not pass by their office (at a safe distance) to cheer the team on. We’re sure they will appreciate it.
