Reeds have been excellent throughout the entire process, and the team, in my view, went above and beyond. I have no hesitation in saying that. My concern sits more with the auction sales process itself. The Modern Method of Auction raises too many issues and feels disproportionately weighted in favour of the vendor. I think there is real scope for improvement in how the process flows, particularly around transparency and timing of key information. My sense is that this isn’t a reflection on Reeds, but rather on a system that has been overlaid onto a property market that, for decades, functioned far more cleanly and effectively.
