Carrickfergus or as it is commonly referred to locally as 'Carrick', sits on the shoreline of Belfast Lough, approximately 10 miles from Belfast City Centre. The town is predominately a commuter town offering excellent public transport facilities with both bus and rail networks. Carrickfergus boasts some superb tourist attractions with areas of natural beauty, brushing a picturesque coastline and historical 12th century Norman Castle that overshadows an ancient harbour and town centre enclosed within 16th Century stone walls

The property market in Carrickfergus is strong, and demand is consistently strong for all property types. Semi Detached properties in the general east Antrim area tend to be the region of £130,000.  Detached property prices on average for this area are approx. £165,000. The highest prices properties would tend to occupy the shoreline with some large plots overlooking Belfast Lough itself.

Carrick is probably best known for its historic Carrickfergus Castle which was bestowed upon Prince William on his Wedding day in 2011.
