The Renters’ Rights Act is a significant new piece of legislation aimed at transforming the private rented sector in England.
The aim of the Act is to provide greater security and stability for the 11 million private renters in England, while also ensuring fair treatment for Landlords. The expectation is that it will become law by May 2026.

Great service from Tim Hahn and the team at Reeds Rains. Tim showed me around a rental property and was very friendly and ensured I had enough time to ask questions and I didn’t feel rushed. When it didn’t work out with that property he checked what area I was looking to move to and informed me of other properties in the area so I was able to arrange a viewing of somewhere nearby quickly and efficiently, which I managed to obtain with Tim’s guidance through the process. Very pleased!
