Good luck to superhero Fiona Cooke, from our Offerton branch, who will be taking part in the London Marathon this weekend in aid of Cash for Kids.
On Friday 4th May Reeds Rains will be headline sponsors of Cash for Kids' Superhero Day. Fiona and her friend Andrea, are hoping to contribute significantly to the Superhero Day fundraising total.
Fiona commented:'The nerves are certainly kicking in this week - especially with the
rumour of a heatwave – but training has been going well and we've been following a strict 15 week plan in preparation although our Sunday morning runs – which are usually longer - have been testing due to the particularly bad weather we’ve had.
'This will be my second marathon (having completed the Manchester one two years ago and saying 'never again') whereas Andrea has never done a marathon before. We are hoping to raise £1,000.'
