We’d like to wish good luck to Scott Copley, our Branch Manager in Wakefield who, throughout November, is running a minimum of 50 miles in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity very close to his heart.

Scott has already managed to raise £390 after running just over 25 miles to date, but, with a close family member having suffered from dementia, is keen to raise much more - understanding the support it can offer to those with the disease as well as those that support them.

Scott explained:

“Earlier this year my family lost my father-in-law to dementia and, after seeing the devastating effects that this horrendous disease can have on a person, and those close to them, I decided I needed to do something to help – and chose to take on this challenge.

I must admit it’s getting harder as the month progresses but I’m so determined to raise as much as I can before it ends, especially knowing the support the Alzheimer’s Society needs to deliver their much needed services.

I’ve been really grateful for the support of family, friends and colleagues, so far, and just hope that I can raise even more in the days to come; making it a fundraising event that really does make a difference to the many, many people that look to the charity for support on a daily basis.”

Well done Scott and good luck for the remainder of November.
