Goole superhero football match raises money for Cash for Kids

Matthew Fergusson - Branch Manager of Reeds Rains Goole - organised an under-9s Superhero Day charity football match which took place on Wednesday 2nd May.

Superhero Day on Friday 4th May raises money for the charity Cash for Kids, which uses funds to help disadvantaged children. Reeds Rains branches across the UK are taking part and raising money for this great cause.

The match was between the Finningley Harriers Under 9s - a team regularly managed by Matthew Fergusson - and the Goole Town Tigers Under 9s. All the players taking part had sponsorship forms, and had already raised £340 by the final whistle.

The score was 4-2 to the Harriers.

Matthew Fergusson said, "It was a fantastic game and both teams battled hard, but most importantly all the kids had fun. It was a great way to raise some money and raise awareness within the local community."

The Goole branch are raising money in association with Viking FM and you can watch their fundraising total go up and up on their Superhero Day fundraising page.
