Supporting Cash for Kids

Reeds Rains MD, Oliver Blake, has been hitting the airwaves this morning when not only was he was interviewed by Hits Radio Breakfast Show Presenter, Mike Toolan, but was also joined by surprise guests, Diversity stars and Kiss FM Breakfast hosts, Jordan Banjo and Perri Keily.

Oliver took part in the interview to reiterate Reeds Rains commitment to supporting Cash for Kids and was able to provide a few examples of the great fundraising activities that our teams have been taking part in – all culminating in today’s special Cash for Kids Day, which Reeds Rains is sponsoring.  In response Jordan and Perrie thanked our teams, not only for raising lots of money for Cash for Kids but also, for being so positive and doing something so incredible - after what's been a tough year for many.

Cash for Kids is Bauer Radio’s network of local charities, which operate across 22 areas in the UK. This year Cash for Kids will support families pushed into poverty as a result of the pandemic and help them with basic essentials such as food and heating.

It’s estimated that more than 2 in 5 families (*) are living in poverty as of 2020 and that children’s health and wellbeing has been impacted as a result.(*)

Reeds Rains was hoping to raise at least £20,000 for the charity, as a result of the combined fundraising efforts of its teams which, with an estimated £35 going to each child, should support at least 570 children in crisis. It smashed through the target today, and hopes to raise even more in the days to come, to ensure as many  disadvantaged children as possible can be supported.
