Reeds Rains in Rotherham and Dinnington - walking for Cash for Kids

Posted 26/05/2022 by Reeds Rains

We’re wishing our teams in Rotherham and Dinnington the best of luck as they prepare to take part in a 10K sponsored walk in aid of Cash for Kids, this week.

The team, who are based at 16-18 Moorgate Street in Rotherham and 68 Laughton Road in Dinnington, will be walking around nearby Ulley Reservoir and, dressing up in sports gear with bright leggings and headbands, plan to make it a fun event - with passers-by hopefully encouraged to make donations in appreciation of their efforts.

Andrea Snook, branch manager at both Reeds Rains in Rotherham and Dinnington, commented:

“There will be 11 of us in total taking part including myself and Lorraine Andrews, Emma Carter, Abbie Sturman, Emma Moorhouse, Jade Semper and Emily Snook from Rotherham along with colleagues from our Dinnington branch including Liz March, Courtney Sambells, Zara Jenna and Jade Haslam. It’s bound to be a great event and, taking part on Friday 27th – the main Cash for Kids Fundraising Day – we know that we’ll be joining many other colleagues from across Reeds Rains in making a difference to this great cause.

The local teams think it’s a brilliant charity that we want to support and we recognise that, because we work within the community, many children are falling beneath the cracks and are in need of help, especially in the current climate as lots of families are now struggling with the cost of living crisis.

We hope to raise a minimum of £300-£500, although obviously we’re setting no limit and any donations would be very much appreciated.”

Good luck Andrea and the teams.

We’ll be bringing further reports on their efforts via our social media channels but, in the meantime, if you’d like to help them fundraise – simply visit their dedicated Cash for Kids page here
