Reeds Rains is proud to be supporting Cash for Kids Day for the 5th year running

Reeds Rains is proud to be supporting Cash for Kids Day for the 5th year running. Last year our branches raised over a staggering £27,000 with a variety of fundraising adventures including the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a skydive, sponsored walks (dressed as fairies) plus quizzes, bake sales and much more.

All the sponsorship our branches raises stays local to that branch and will help some of our community members at a time when they need it more than ever. The world is an incredibly difficult place for so many of the families Cash for Kids supports. Energy price increases, cost of living increases, benefit system changes and the post-Covid impact, means more families have been tipped into poverty. Many have now reached a crisis point, facing the very real choice of whether to ‘heat or eat’. Cash for Kids is again this year committing 100% of all the funds raised will be used to help families in need. We’ll be helping families with the very real and immediate need to pay for their energy bills, food costs, toiletries, clothing and other basic essentials for their children.

This year Cash for Kids is calling on supporters to sign up to take part in 5k a Day in May and fundraise for local children. You can walk, run, swim even skip your 5k a Day in May and you will be raising much-needed funds for children in your local area.

Many of our branches and central teams at Reeds Rains are taking part in the 5k a day in May challenge but that isn’t stopping the branches from coming up with their wonderful & wacky additional fundraising ideas. This year there will be more bake sales, quizzes, sponsored walks, dressing up and even running the London Marathon.
