Reeds Rains

Reeds Rains estate and lettings agents has launched a new product, Home Buyers Protection Insurance for Reeds Rains buyers as part of its campaign to highlight the importance of insurance protection.

Reeds Rains is keen to emphasise that purchasing a property can be very costly and once an offer on a property has been made, fees will be paid which cover a range of services including: solicitors, mortgage and a surveyor. These fees can run into thousands, but what happens to that money should a purchase fall through?

John Hargreaves, national financial services director for Reeds Rains says: “At Reeds Rains we will do our utmost to ensure the purchase of your new home goes through without a hitch, however, in the event that it should fall through, rest assured we’ve got you covered.

Reasons a house purchase falls through could be that the seller is made redundant so is unable to continue with the purchase, or the property becomes withdrawn from sale by the seller due to reasons beyond their control.

Home buyers protection insurance is designed to allow you to claim back some of the costs incurred in the event that your purchase does not proceed. For a limited time only, Reeds Rains is offering free Home Buyers Protection Insurance worth £99.99* which includes:

•    Up to £500 in respect of mortgage arrangement fees.
•    Up to £500 in respect of survey and valuation fees.
•    Up to £75 in respect of local authority searches.**

In order to qualify, buyers must complete a household building and contents insurance quotation*.
